Dear EAN members, colleagues, friends,

let me provide you with more information and documents for the EAN General Assembly in Malta.

As previously announced, the EAN events will take place on 26-28 April 2023. Please find below summary of all Events.

We managed to add an interesting workshop of the HelpDesk project, where EAN is a partner. Basic information about the workshop is attached.

26/4      20:00 -22:00      EAN dinner for members and guest in https://www.villaarrigomalta.com/   - dress code smart casual is okay. One dinner will be covered for each EAN member or EAN partner, the accompanying person will be asked to pay 45 EUR.

Friday

28/4       9:30 and 13:00   Care facilities visits – we are trying to arrange visits of two social services providers, details to be specified later (Villa Anna Teresa, Little Sisters of the Poor)

List or registered participants is attached – please check it and let me know if there are some changes needed. In case you are not on the list and will be with us in Malta, please register you. Please fill in the form even if you are not coming.

IMPORTANT: For example, if you are coming to the dinner with a companion, please register for this companion as well, it will be clearer for me (previously you only provided this information in a note on the form). I will close the registration form on Friday 21 April 2023. THANK YOU.

Election of EAN Executive Board members and EAN President – Nominations

EAN EB & EAN President nominations are still open (information was in one of the previous emails). To date we have received the following nominations (for your information):

  • EAN President – Jiří Horecký (CZ)
  • EAN EB – Miriana Fenech Adami (MLT), Maria Mannerholm (SWE), Didier Sapy (FR), Jakob Kabas (AT)

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can use a power of attorney, a sample is attached to the email. Please inform the EAN Secretariat about the use of proxy. This is very important for the preparation of the ballot papers and setting up the voting system.

EAN Summit on Digitalisation in Long Term Care - call for speakers

EAN invites its members to actively participate in this summit and present the national situation on Digitalization in long term care. The summit will be designed in the same way as the EAN Workforce summit in Malmö. The working group will prepare a sample presentation with questions and topics to be presented (15 minutes) by the end of March 2023. Please let us know if you would like to present the situation in your country – per email to Karel Vostrý /info@ean.care/ and Cc to Marcel Smeets /m.smeets@ean.care/ .

Of course, admission to the summit is free for EAN members and partners.

Current state of play – Speakers of The Netherlands, France, Sweden, Czech Republic, Norway and Estonia are confirmed – we still have 2 free slots – would any of the delegates please be interested in presenting the situation in your country?
